TUT89994 - Managing Configuration Drift and Auditing with Salt

Session Speakers
Session Description

Configuration Management tools can tell you how your environment deviates from a explicitly defined set of configuration rules (states, policies, recipes). However, changes that do not violate any explicit rule may go unnoticed. This session will show how baseline sources like filesystem snapshots (SUSE snapper and others) can be used together with Salt configuration management to provide a full change auditing mechanism that combines seamlessly with the way configuration management is done.
